Iowa High School Basketball - Denison-Schleswig thwarts Atlantic
February 3, 2023: Denison, IA 51442 The Denison-Schleswig Monarchs (Denison, IA) basketball knocked off the visiting Atlantic Trojans (Atlantic, IA), 66-47 in Friday's league test.
The Monarchs (12-4) will now prepare for their test against Carroll (Carroll, IA). The Tigers go into the non-league test with a 10-8 record. In their last test, Carroll notched a victory over Boone (Boone, IA), 52-41, in a league test.
The Trojans now own a 7-12 record. They play next when they host Harlan for a Hawkeye Ten test on Tuesday, February 7. Atlantic will encounter a Cyclones squad coming off a 51-42 league win over Lewis Central (Council Bluffs, IA). The Cyclones record now stands at 9-6.
