February 3, 2023: Lyons, GA 30436 The Robert Toombs Christian Academy Crusaders basketball team (Lyons, GA), was routed 63-41 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Memorial Day Matadors (Savannah, GA)
The Matadors now sport a 16-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Twiggs Academy for a GIAA A Region 6 battle on Tuesday, February 7. Memorial Day will battle a Trojans team coming off a 103-50 league loss to First Preparatory Christian Academy (Hinesville, GA). The Trojans record now stands at 3-17.
The Crusaders (11-11) will now prepare for their battle against First Preparatory Christian Academy (Hinesville, GA). The Highlanders come into the GIAA A Region 6 battle with a 12-7 record. In their last battle, First Preparatory Christian Academy was routed by Central Fellowship Christian Academy (Macon, GA), 60-50, in a non-league battle.
