Texas High School Basketball - Elgin fells Cedar Creek

Elgin Wildcats (Elgin, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Cedar Creek Eagles (Cedar Creek, TX), 43-25 in a league bout.

With the win, Elgin upgrades its record to 11-16 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Bastrop (Bastrop, TX) to clash with the Bears in a 5A Region III District 23 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 4-24. Bastrop lost 40-39 in their recent league bout against Pflugerville Connally (Austin, TX)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Pflugerville Connally Cougars (Austin, TX) in a 5A Region III District 23 bout, on Saturday, February 4. Cedar Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 11-15 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 6-21 record after their 40-39 league win over Bastrop (Bastrop, TX).
