North Carolina High School Basketball - South Mecklenburg holds off West Charlotte

February 3, 2025: Charlotte, NC 28210

The South Mecklenburg Sabres basketball team scored 41 points and limited the visiting West Charlotte Lions to 35 in the Sabres non-league triumph on Monday.

The Sabres now possess a 12-9 record. They play next when they travel to Ardrey Kell for a game on Friday, February 7. South Mecklenburg will confront a Knights team coming off a 50-47 non-league loss to Myers Park (Charlotte, NC). The Knights record now stands at 14-3.

With the loss, West Charlotte falls to 14-2 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Hough (Cornelius, NC) to confront the Huskies in a non-league game on Tuesday, February 4. The Huskies go into the game with a record of 11-8. Hough won 49-19 in their recent non-league game against West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC)
