Fremont Tigers (Fremont, NE) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Lincoln High Links (Lincoln, NE), 56-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Fremont upgrades its record to 8-11 on the season. The Tigers host Grand Island (Grand Island, NE) to play the Islanders in a A District TBD bout on Tuesday, February 8. The Islanders go into the bout with a record of 8-9. Grand Island won 75-43 in their recent league bout against Norfolk (Norfolk, NE)

Next up, the Links play the Omaha Northwest Huskies (Omaha, NE) in a A District TBD bout, on Saturday, February 5. Lincoln High will attempt to upgrade on its 4-13 season record. The Huskies go into the bout with a 0-15 record after their 92-72 league loss to Bryan (Omaha, NE).
