The South Grand Prairie Warriors basketball team scored 57 points and restricted the visiting Grand Prairie Gophers to 38 in the Warriors league victory on Saturday.

The Warriors now sport a 18-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bowie for a 6A Region I District 8 contest on Tuesday, February 7. South Grand Prairie will battle a Volunteers team coming off a 63-46 league win over Arlington (Arlington, TX). The Volunteers record now stands at 10-16.

The Gophers (8-21) will now prepare for their contest against Martin (Arlington, TX). The Warriors come into the 6A Region I District 8 contest with a 25-4 record. In their last bout, Martin was knocked off by Sam Houston (Arlington, TX), 70-59, in a league bout.
