Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Scranton topped by Abington Heights
February 5, 2024: Scranton, PA 18508 The Abington Heights Comets basketball team scored 58 points and restricted the host Scranton Knights to 44 in the Comets league victory on Monday.
The Comets now sport a 20-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wallenpaupack Area for a Lackawanna 2 contest on Thursday, February 8. Abington Heights will battle a Buckhorns team coming off a 47-45 non-league win over West Scranton (Scranton, PA). The Buckhorns record now stands at 7-5.
The Knights (15-4) will now prepare for their contest against Western Wayne (Lake Ariel, PA). The Wildcats come into the non-league contest with a 0-9 record. In their last contest, Western Wayne dropped by Delaware Valley (Milford, PA), 70-39, in a league contest.
