February 6, 2023: Robbinsville, NC 28771 The Hiwassee Dam Eagles basketball team (Murphy, NC), was toppled 84-74 in Monday's non-league battle with the host Robbinsville Black Knights (Robbinsville, NC)
The Black Knights now possess a 18-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Swain County for a 1A Conference 43 - Big battle on Tuesday, February 7. Robbinsville will confront a Maroon Devils team coming off a 83-72 league win over Cherokee (Cherokee, NC). The Maroon Devils record now stands at 11-11.
The Eagles (10-12) will now prepare for their battle against Nantahala (Topton, NC). The Hawks come into the 1A Conference 43 - Little battle with a 2-13 record. In their last battle, Nantahala was toppled by Blue Ridge Early College (Cashiers, NC), 64-33, in a league battle.
