The Swain County Maroon Devils basketball team (Bryson City, NC), was routed 77-52 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Cherokee Braves (Cherokee, NC)

The Braves now sport a 12-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hiwassee Dam for a non-league battle on Thursday, February 8. Cherokee will battle a Eagles team coming off a 55-39 league win over Highlands (Highlands, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 5-13.

The Maroon Devils (15-6) will now prepare for their battle against Franklin (Franklin, NC). The Panthers come into the non-league battle with a 14-7 record. In their last battle, Franklin trounced Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC), 82-60, in a league battle.
