Texas High School Basketball - Knippa can't hold off Utopia

The Utopia Buffaloes basketball team scored 51 points and restricted the host Knippa Crushers to 47 in the Buffaloes league victory on Tuesday.

The Buffaloes now sport a 15-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Leakey for a 1A Region IV District 31 contest on Friday, February 9. Utopia will battle a Eagles team coming off a 62-36 league loss to D'Hanis (D'Hanis, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 2-23.

The Crushers (17-10) will now prepare for their contest against Nueces Canyon (Barksdale, TX). The Panthers come into the 1A Region IV District 31 contest with a 2-14 record. In their last contest, Nueces Canyon was nudged by Utopia (Utopia, TX), 62-37, in a league contest.
