Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Utopia Buffaloes (Utopia, TX) and the visiting Nueces Canyon Panthers (Barksdale, TX), saw Utopia's basketball squad wallop Nueces Canyon by a count of 62-37.

With the victory, Utopia upgrades its record to 14-13 on the campaign. The Buffaloes travel to Knippa (Knippa, TX) to play the Crushers in a 1A Region IV District 31 challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Crushers come into the challenge with a record of 17-9. Knippa lost 33-29 in their recent league challenge against D'Hanis (D'Hanis, TX)

Next up, the Panthers play the Knippa Crushers (Knippa, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 31 challenge, on Friday, February 9. Nueces Canyon will attempt to upgrade on its 2-14 season record.
