February 6, 2024: Statesville, NC 28625 The West Iredell Warriors basketball team (Statesville, NC), was routed 83-60 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Statesville Greyhounds (Statesville, NC)
The Greyhounds now sport a 10-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Iredell for a 3A Western Foothills battle on Friday, February 9. Statesville will battle a Raiders team coming off a 95-48 league loss to Hickory (Hickory, NC). The Raiders record now stands at 9-12.
The Warriors (2-18) will now prepare for their battle against Hickory (Hickory, NC). The Red Tornadoes come into the 3A Western Foothills battle with a 21-0 record. In their last battle, Hickory trounced North Iredell (Olin, NC), 95-48, in a league battle.

Kevin Bryant led the way for the Greyhound's huge 23 point win over West Iredell with a double-double: 21 points, 10 rebounds, and also having 4 steals. Caleb Tillman also contributed to this huge win with 20 points and 9 rebounds. Also, Tatum Tucker had 11 points and led the team in rebounding with 16, and had 4 blocks. These 3 players combined for 52 points and 35 rebounds, and 8 of the team's total 15 steals.
