Virginia High School Basketball - Ridgeview can't hold off Union
February 7, 2023: Appalachia, VA 24219 The Union Bears basketball team scored 68 points and held the visiting Ridgeview Wolfpack to 65 in the Bears league triumph on Tuesday.
The Bears now sport a 7-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Gate City for a Mountain contest on Friday, March 10. Union will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 80-46 league win over Lee (Jonesville, VA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 9-11.
The Wolfpack (10-6) will now prepare for their contest against Abingdon (Abingdon, VA). The Falcons enter the Mountain contest with a 16-6 record. In their last contest, Abingdon nudged John Battle (Bristol, VA), 51-27, in a league contest.
