The Taylor Ducks basketball team scored 52 points and held the host Smithville Tigers to 45 in the Ducks league triumph on Tuesday.

The Ducks now sport a 15-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host Austin Achieve for a 4A Region III District 22 contest on Friday, February 10. Taylor will battle a Polar Bears team coming off a 74-61 non-league win over NYOS Charter (Austin, TX). The Polar Bears record now stands at 13-14.

The Tigers (12-15) will now prepare for their contest against Caldwell (Caldwell, TX). The Hornets enter the 4A Region III District 22 contest with a 10-23 record. In their last contest, Caldwell was nudged by Giddings (Giddings, TX), 62-23, in a league contest.
