Virginia High School Basketball - Fuqua nips Tidewater Academy
February 7, 2023: Farmville, VA 23901 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Fuqua Falcons (Farmville, VA) and the visiting Tidewater Academy Warriors (Wakefield, VA), saw Fuqua's basketball squad hold off Tidewater Academy by a count of 33-29.
With the victory, Fuqua upgrades its record to 11-7 on the campaign. The Falcons host Brunswick Academy (Lawrenceville, VA) to play the Vikings in a Virginia Colonial challenge on Thursday, February 16. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 14-4.
Next up, the Warriors play the Banner Christian (Chesterfield, VA) in a VISAA Division IV challenge, on Friday, February 10. Tidewater Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The come into the challenge with a 3-13 record after their 62-12 league loss to Kenston Forest (Blackstone, VA).
