February 7, 2025: Fairbanks, AK 99709 Bettye Davis East Anchorage Thunderbirds (Anchorage, AK) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host West Valley Wolf Pack (Fairbanks, AK), 43-41 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Bettye Davis East Anchorage advances its record to 15-1 on the year. The Thunderbirds travel to Lathrop (Fairbanks, AK) to face the Malemutes in a non-league match on Saturday, February 8. The Malemutes enter the match with a record of 10-7. Lathrop won 58-51 in their recent league match against North Pole (North Pole, AK)
The Wolf Pack now own a 13-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lathrop for a 4A Mid Alaska match on Tuesday, February 11. West Valley will face a Malemutes squad coming off a 70-50 non-league loss to Bettye Davis East Anchorage (Anchorage, AK). The Malemutes record now stands at 10-8.
