The Perry County Vikings basketball squad (Linden, TN), was outscored 56-45 in Friday's league battle with the host Wayne County Wildcats (Waynesboro, TN)

With the victory, Wayne County advances its record to 18-7 on the year. The Wildcats host Hughes (Clifton, TN) to meet the Lions in a 1A District 11 battle on Monday, February 10. The Lions enter the battle with a record of 13-7. Hughes won 71-43 in their recent league battle against Collinwood (Collinwood, TN)

The Vikings now own a 9-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to McEwen for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 11. Perry County will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 53-38 league win over Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central (Bruceton, TN). The Warriors record now stands at 15-9.
