In Friday's league test, the Lincoln Cougars (Shinnston, WV) basketball squad got by the host Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV), by a score of 56-49.

Next, the Cougars encounter the Chapmanville Regional Tigers (Chapmanville, WV) in a non-league test, on Saturday, February 8. Lincoln will attempt to improve on its 6-9 season record. The Tigers come into the test with a 5-9 record after their 44-40 league loss to Winfield (Winfield, WV).

The Knights (6-9) will now prepare for their game against North Marion (Farmington, WV). The Huskies go into the Big Ten game with a 6-8 record. In their last game, North Marion nipped Liberty (Clarksburg, WV), 68-25, in a league game.
