In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Preston Knights basketball team scored a big 79-40 triumph over the Liberty Mountaineers.

The Knights (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Lincoln (Shinnston, WV). The Cougars go into the Big Ten contest with a 4-9 record. In their last contest, Lincoln was trounced by Lewis County (Weston, WV), 70-26, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Mountaineers confront the South Harrison Hawks (Lost Creek, WV) in a non-league contest, on Friday, February 7. Liberty will attempt to better on its 1-12 season record. The Hawks go into the contest with a 4-11 record after their 47-43 league loss to Calhoun (Mt. Zion, WV).
