In Thursday's non-league outing, the Elkhorn South Storm (Omaha, NE) basketball squad edged the host Gretna East Griffins (Gretna, NE), by a margin of 54-52.

The Storm (8-11) will now prepare for their outing against Burke (Omaha, NE). The Bulldogs go into the A District TBD outing with a 5-14 record. In their last outing, Burke was tipped by Papillion-LaVista South (Papillion, NE), 83-44, in a league outing.

The Griffins now own a 4-13 record. They play next when they host Lincoln High for a non-league outing on Saturday, February 10. Gretna East will clash with a Links squad coming off a 77-48 league loss to Pius X (Lincoln, NE). The Links record now stands at 5-14.
