The Mandeville Skippers basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the visiting Covington Lions to 34 in the Skippers league victory on Thursday.

The Skippers now sport a 19-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pine for a non-league contest on Monday, February 13. Mandeville will battle a Raiders team coming off a 53-39 non-league win over Kentwood (Kentwood, LA). The Raiders record now stands at 8-12.

The Lions (5-14) will now prepare for their contest against Springfield (Springfield, LA). The Bulldogs come into the non-league contest with a 8-19 record. In their last contest, Springfield was defeated by French Settlement (French Settlement, LA), 75-33, in a league contest.
