The Slidell Tigers ran past the visiting Covington Lions basketball team by a final score of 67-57 in Thursday's league game.

In their next game, the Tigers face the Fontainebleau Bulldogs (Mandeville, LA) in a 5A District 6 game, on Tuesday, February 7. Slidell will attempt to move on its 9-23 season record. The Bulldogs enter the game with a 4-10 record after their 64-54 league loss to Ponchatoula (Ponchatoula, LA).

With the defeat, Covington moves to 4-12 on the year. The Lions host Springfield (Springfield, LA) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Wednesday, February 15. The Bulldogs enter the game with a record of 7-18.
