Vermont High School Basketball - Champlain Valley Union tops St. Johnsbury Academy
February 9, 2023: Hinesburg, VT 05461 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Champlain Valley Union Redhawks (Hinesburg, VT) and the visiting St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltoppers (St. Johnsbury, VT), saw Champlain Valley Union's basketball squad knock off St. Johnsbury Academy by a count of 61-42.
With the victory, Champlain Valley Union upgrades its record to 11-2 on the campaign. The Redhawks travel to Mt. Mansfield (Jericho, VT) to play the Cougars in a Lake challenge on Wednesday, February 15. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 11-10.
Next up, the Hilltoppers play the Brattleboro Colonels (Brattleboro, VT) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 11. St. Johnsbury Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 11-3 season record. The Colonels come into the challenge with a 3-13 record after their 57-32 non-league loss to Fair Haven (Fair Haven, VT).
