Connecticut High School Basketball - Coventry ripped by Somers

February 9, 2024: Somers, CT 06071

In Friday's league match, the host Somers Spartans basketball team scored a decisive 70-41 triumph over the Coventry Patriots.

In their next game, the Spartans meet the Wheeler Lions (North Stonington, CT) in a non-league match, on Monday, February 12. Somers will attempt to better on its 12-5 season record. The Lions enter the match with a 14-4 record after their 35-32 league win over Lyman Memorial (Lebanon, CT).

With the defeat, Coventry moves to 10-8 on the year. The Patriots host Bolton (Bolton, CT) to meet the Bulldogs in a North Central Connecticut match on Monday, February 12. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 1-18. Bolton lost 65-41 in their recent league match against Granby Memorial (Granby, CT)
