The R-S Central Hilltoppers basketball team (Rutherfordton, NC), was routed 74-39 in Friday's league battle with the host East Rutherford Cavaliers (Forest City, NC)

The Cavaliers now sport a 12-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Polk County for a 1A/2A Mountain Foothills battle on Tuesday, February 13. East Rutherford will battle a Wolverines team coming off a 81-79 league loss to Chase (Forest City, NC). The Wolverines record now stands at 3-18.

The Hilltoppers (8-15) will now prepare for their battle against Chase (Forest City, NC). The Trojans come into the 1A/2A Mountain Foothills battle with a 1-19 record.
