Fans at Friday's league challenge between the East Rutherford Cavaliers (Forest City, NC) and the visiting Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC), saw East Rutherford's basketball squad wallop Polk County by a tally of 79-52.

With the victory, East Rutherford improves its record to 10-8 on the campaign. The Cavaliers host Brevard (Brevard, NC) to confront the Blue Devils in a 1A/2A Mountain Foothills challenge on Friday, January 26. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a record of 8-8.

Next up, the Wolverines confront the Brevard Blue Devils (Brevard, NC) in a 1A/2A Mountain Foothills challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Polk County will attempt to improve on its 3-13 season record.
