Orion Chargers (Orion, IL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Monmouth-Roseville Titans (Monmouth, IL), 65-62 in a league game.

In their next game, the Chargers face the Bureau Valley Storm (Manlius, IL) in a non-league game, on Saturday, February 10. Orion will attempt to move on its 14-12 season record. The Storm enter the game with a 15-13 record after their 62-43 league win over Mendota (Mendota, IL).

With the defeat, Monmouth-Roseville moves to 13-15 on the year. The Titans host Erie-Prophetstown (Erie, IL) to face the Panthers in a Three Rivers - West game on Monday, February 12.
