Ponchatoula Green Wave (Ponchatoula, LA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Hammond Tornadoes (Hammond, LA), 13-1 in a league challenge.

The Green Wave now sport a 11-7 record. They take the field next when they host Covington for a 5A District 6 challenge on Thursday, March 17.

With the loss, Hammond falls to 1-9 on the campaign. The Tornadoes host St. Michael (Baton Rouge, LA) to face the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 16. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 10-4. St. Michael won 18-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Port Allen (Port Allen, LA)
