The Highland Hawks triumphed over the host Pinnacle Pioneers softball squad by a count of 16-1 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Hawks play the Salpointe Catholic Lancers (Tucson, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, March 19. Highland will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Lancers enter the challenge with a 7-2 record after their 16-1 non-league win over Catalina Foothills (Tucson, AZ).

With the loss, Pinnacle moves to 5-6 on the season. The Pioneers travel to Salpointe Catholic (Tucson, AZ) to confront the Lancers in a non-league battle on Thursday, March 19. The Lancers enter the challenge with a record of 7-3. Salpointe Catholic lost 9-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Queen Creek (Queen Creek, AZ)
