The Desert Edge Scorpions (Goodyear, AZ) volleyball overcame the visiting Independence Patriots (Glendale, AZ), 3-0 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Desert Edge upgrades its record to 8-2 on the year. The Scorpions host South Mountain (Phoenix, AZ) to face the Jaguars in a non-league outing on Monday, March 25. The Jaguars go into the outing with a record of 1-4. South Mountain won 3-0 in their recent non-league outing against Browne (Phoenix, AZ)

The Patriots now own a 10-4 record. They play next when they travel to Millennium for a 5A Central Valley outing on Tuesday, March 26. Independence will face a Tigers squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Desert Edge (Goodyear, AZ). The Tigers record now stands at 6-6.
