New York High School Softball - Newtown bounces Flushing
March 27, 2024: Elmhurst, NY 11373 Spectators at Wednesday's non-league match between the Newtown Pioneers (Elmhurst, NY) and the visiting Flushing Red Devils (Flushing, NY), witnessed Newtown's softball squad prevail over Flushing by a count of 17-7.
The Pioneers now sport a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Bayside for a PSAL Queens A match on Tuesday, April 2. Newtown will meet a Commodores squad coming off a 21-0 non-league win over Cardozo (Bayside, NY). The Commodores record now stands at 1-0.
