March 28, 2025: Hughes Springs, TX 75656 Hughes Springs Mustangs (Hughes Springs, TX) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting New Diana Eagles (Diana, TX), 11-1 in a league game.
With the triumph, Hughes Springs upgrades its record to 17-3 on the year. The Mustangs host Daingerfield (Daingerfield, TX) to play the Tigers in a 3A Region II District 15 game on Tuesday, April 1. The Tigers enter the game with a record of 3-10. Daingerfield lost 18-8 in their recent league game against Jefferson (Jefferson, TX)
The Eagles now own a 13-7 record. They play next when they travel to Harmony for a 3A Region II District 15 game on Tuesday, April 1. New Diana will play a Eagles squad coming off a 12-0 league win over Chapel Hill (Mount Pleasant, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 8-7.
