In Tuesday's league match, the host James Monroe Mavericks basketball team scored a decisive 70-36 triumph over the Greenbrier West Cavaliers.

In their next game, the Mavericks meet the Webster County Highlanders (Upper Glade, WV) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, March 13. James Monroe will attempt to move on its 21-4 season record.
