The Central Valley Falcons softball squad (Shasta Lake, CA), was edged 5-4 in Thursday's non-league contest with the host Shasta Wolves (Redding, CA)

The Wolves (1-3) will now prepare for their bout against Nevada Union (Grass Valley, CA). The Miners go into the non-league bout with a 0-3 record. In their last bout, Nevada Union was nipped by Bear River (Grass Valley, CA), 8-7, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Falcons battle the Orland Trojans (Orland, CA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, March 9. Central Valley will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 14-2 non-league win over Pierce (Arbuckle, CA).
