The Yreka Miners the visiting Central Valley Falcons softball squad by a count of 9-5 in Tuesday's league challenge.

Next, the Miners meet the University Prep Panthers (Redding, CA) in a Northern challenge, on Friday, May 8. Yreka will attempt to upgrade on its 13-12 season record. The Panthers go into the challenge with a 9-15 record after their 15-2 league win over Anderson (Anderson, CA).

The Falcons (9-10) will now prepare for their challenge against West Valley (Cottonwood, CA). The Eagles go into the Northern challenge with a 23-2 record. In their last challenge, West Valley was routed by Lassen (Susanville, CA), 10-9, in a league challenge.
