Swansboro Pirates (Swansboro, NC) fans left the game pleased Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad nip the visiting Dixon Bulldogs (Holly Ridge, NC), 2-1 in a league match.

With the triumph, Swansboro advances its record to 6-4 on the season. The Pirates host Croatan (Newport, NC) to battle the Cougars in a Coastal 3A match on Friday, April 4. The Cougars come into the match with a record of 6-4. Croatan lost 9-7 in their recent non-league match against Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC)

The Bulldogs now have a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host White Oak for a Coastal 3A match on Friday, April 4. Dixon will battle a Vikings squad coming off a 6-3 league loss to West Carteret (Morehead City, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 2-7.
