Croatan Cougars (Newport, NC) followers left the game satisfied Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Dixon Bulldogs (Holly Ridge, NC), 11-2 in a league match.

With the triumph, Croatan moves its record to 5-3 on the season. The Cougars travel to Richlands (Richlands, NC) to confront the Wildcats in a Coastal 3A match on Tuesday, April 1. The Wildcats come into the match with a record of 5-5. Richlands won 7-2 in their recent league match against White Oak (Jacksonville, NC)

The Bulldogs now possess a 4-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Swansboro for a Coastal 3A challenge on Tuesday, April 1. Dixon will clash with a Pirates team coming off a 2-1 league win over West Carteret (Morehead City, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 5-4.
