The New Bern Bears baseball team scored 4 runs and held the visiting Dixon Bulldogs to 3 in the Bears non-league win on Saturday.

The Bears now own a 8-6 record. They take the field next when they host Northside - Jacksonville for a Big East 3A/4A test on Tuesday, April 8. New Bern will clash with a Monarchs team coming off a 9-4 league loss to J.H. Rose (Greenville, NC). The Monarchs record now stands at 3-10.

With the defeat, Dixon drops to 5-8 on the year. The Bulldogs host West Carteret (Morehead City, NC) to clash with the Patriots in a Coastal 3A test on Tuesday, April 8.
