In Thursday's league bout, the Monroe Central Golden Bears (Parker City, IN) baseball squad overwhelmed the host Blue River Valley Vikings (Mt. Summit, IN), by a tally of 11-4.

Next up, the Golden Bears encounter the Alexandria-Monroe Tigers (Alexandria, IN) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, April 12. Monroe Central will attempt to upgrade on its 3-0 season record. The Tigers enter the bout with a 2-0 record after their 9-2 non-league win over Marion (Marion, IN).
