The Monroe Central Golden Bears baseball team scored 8 runs and held the host Cambridge City Lincoln Golden Eagles to 0 in the Golden Bears non-league win on Tuesday.

The Golden Bears now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Blue River Valley for a Mid-Eastern test on Thursday, April 10.

With the defeat, Cambridge City Lincoln drops to 0-1 on the year. The Golden eagles travel to Randolph Southern (Lynn, IN) to play the Rebels in a non-league test on Wednesday, April 9. The Rebels go into the test with a record of 1-1. Randolph Southern lost 16-4 in their recent non-league test against Union County (Liberty, IN)
