North Carolina High School Softball - Corvian Community holds off Christ the King
April 12, 2024: Charlotte, NC 28269 Corvian Community Cardinals (Charlotte, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Christ the King Crusaders (Huntersville, NC), 18-16 in a league challenge.
The Cardinals now sport a 1-6 record. They take the field next when they host Mountain Island Charter for a Catawba Shores Athletic 1A/2A challenge on Monday, April 15. Corvian Community will face a Raptors squad coming off a 6-4 league win over Pine Lake Prep (Mooresville, NC). The Raptors record now stands at 5-4.
With the loss, Christ the King falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Crusaders travel to North Hills Christian (Salisbury, NC) to face the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 15. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 1-8. North Hills Christian lost 20-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Oak Ridge Military Academy (Oak Ridge, NC)
