In Tuesday's league game, the host Alexander Central Cougars baseball team scored a nice 11-0 win over the McDowell Titans.

The Cougars (17-2) will now prepare for their game against Mooresville (Mooresville, NC). The Blue Devils go into the non-league game with a 8-11 record. In their last game, Mooresville knocked off West Iredell (Statesville, NC), 7-3, in a non-league game.

Next, the Titans play the St. Stephens Indians (Hickory, NC) in a Northwestern 6A/7A game, on Friday, April 17. McDowell will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record. The Indians go into the game with a 14-5 record after their 10-1 league win over Freedom (Morganton, NC).
