In Tuesday's league test, the Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC), by a tally of 16-0.

Next, the Bearcats clash with the Chesterfield Golden Rams (Chesterfield, SC) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, April 15. Anson will attempt to advance on its 3-12 season record. The Golden Rams go into the test with a 7-6 record after their 22-2 non-league win over McBee (McBee, SC).

The Redhawks (1-14) will now prepare for their test against Central Academy of Technology & Arts (Monroe, NC). The Cougars go into the Rocky River 4A/5A test with a 9-5 record. In their last test, Central Academy of Technology & Arts was routed by Mount Pleasant (Mount Pleasant, NC), 19-1, in a league test.
