In Wednesday's league game, the host Independence Patriots baseball team scored a nice 15-0 win over the Westside Renegades.

The Patriots (8-3) will now prepare for their game against Buckhannon-Upshur (Buckhannon, WV). The Bucaneers go into the non-league game with a 8-3 record. In their last game, Buckhannon-Upshur was overwhelmed by Cabell Midland (Ona, WV), 8-0, in a non-league game.

Next, the Renegades play the Wyoming East Warriors (New Richmond, WV) in a Coalfield AA game, on Thursday, April 16. Westside will attempt to improve on its 2-8 season record.
