The Liberty Lions baseball squad (Peoria, AZ), 4-2 in Wednesday's league contest with the host Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions (Glendale, AZ)

With the triumph, Mountain Ridge moves its record to 12-11 on the season. The Mountain Lions host Gila Ridge (Yuma, AZ) to confront the Hawks in a non-league contest on Thursday, April 17. The Hawks come into the contest with a record of 3-16. Gila Ridge lost 7-1 in their recent league contest against Cibola (Yuma, AZ)

The Lions now possess a 14-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Boulder Creek for a 6A Desert Valley contest on Thursday, April 17. Liberty will confront a Jaguars squad coming off a 10-9 non-league loss to Queen Creek (Queen Creek, AZ). The Jaguars record now stands at 8-13.
