The Great Bridge Wildcats triumphed over the visiting Hickory Hawks baseball team by a margin of 11-1 in Thursday's league test.

The Wildcats now hold a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gainesville for a non-league test on Monday, April 6. Great Bridge will play a Red Elephants team coming off a 9-7 league win over Chattahoochee (Alpharetta, GA). The Red Elephants record now stands at 14-10.

With the defeat, Hickory drops to 2-5 on the year. The Hawks travel to Manteo (Manteo, NC) to battle the Redskins in a non-league outing on Saturday, April 4. The Redskins come into the outing with a record of 7-6. Manteo lost 7-3 in their recent league outing against Perquimans County (Hertford, NC)
