New Jersey High School Softball - Vernon bounces Morris County Tech
April 22, 2024: Denville, NJ 07834 Spectators at Monday's league match between the Vernon Vikings (Vernon, NJ) and the host Morris County Tech Devils (Denville, NJ), witnessed Vernon's softball squad tip Morris County Tech by a count of 10-5.
The Vikings now sport a 3-6 record. They play next when they travel to North Warren Regional for a non-league match on Tuesday, April 23. Vernon will face a Patriots squad coming off a 9-1 non-league win over Belvidere (Belvidere, NJ). The Patriots record now stands at 8-1.
With the loss, Morris County Tech moves to 2-5 on the season. The Devils host Hopatcong (Hopatcong, NJ) to face the Chiefs in a non-league match on Friday, April 26. The Chiefs go into the match with a record of 2-9. Hopatcong lost 16-8 in their recent league match against North Warren Regional (Blairstown, NJ)
