Illinois High School Softball - Kankakee bounces Crete-Monee
April 25, 2023: Crete, IL 60417 The Kankakee Kays routed the host Crete-Monee Warriors softball squad by a final score of 14-5 in Tuesday's league battle.
The Kays (11-3) will now prepare for their battle against Bloom (Chicago Heights, IL). The Blazing Trojan go into the Southland Athletic battle with a 6-9 record. In their last battle, Bloom was routed by Hammond Morton (Hammond, IN), 4-3, in a non-league battle.
The Warriors now possess a 6-5 record. They play next when they travel to Sandburg for a non-league battle on Wednesday, April 26. Crete-Monee will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 12-0 league loss to Lockport (Lockport, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 4-13.
