Illinois High School Softball - Thornridge can't get by Kankakee
April 27, 2023: Kankakee, IL 60901 In Thursday's league contest, the Kankakee Kays (Kankakee, IL) softball team held off the visiting Thornridge Falcons (Dolton, IL), by a margin of 1-0.
With the triumph, Kankakee moves its record to 13-3 on the year. The Kays travel to Bishop McNamara (Kankakee, IL) to play the Fightin' Irish in a non-league contest on Friday, April 28. The Fightin' Irish come into the contest with a record of 12-7. Bishop McNamara lost 2-1 in their recent non-league contest against Elmwood Park (Elmwood Park, IL)
In their next game, the Falcons play the Thornwood Thunderbirds (South Holland, IL) in a Southland Athletic contest, on Monday, May 1. Thornridge will attempt to move on its 0-5 season record. The Thunderbirds come into the contest with a 5-6 record after their 22-4 league loss to Crete-Monee (Crete, IL).
