New Jersey High School Baseball - Cranford holds off New Providence
April 25, 2025: Cranford, NJ 07016 In Friday's league game, the host Cranford Cougars baseball team scored a close 5-1 victory over the New Providence Pioneers.
The Cougars (7-3) will now prepare for their game against Union Catholic (Scotch Plains, NJ). The Vikings enter the game with a 7-4 record. In their last game, Union Catholic was overwhelmed by Summit (Summit, NJ), 6-4, in a non-league game.
Next, the Pioneers face the Madison Dodgers (Madison, NJ) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, April 29. New Providence will attempt to improve on its 2-8 season record. The Dodgers enter the game with a 9-1 record after their 8-3 non-league win over Morris Knolls (Rockaway, NJ).
